Ham and Cheese Biscuit Bento

For today's bento, I made these little ham and cheese biscuits. I was inspired by this mom's blog; she made them out of the Trader Joe's biscuits (the ones that come in a can in the refrigerated section of your grocery store), and they looked so delicious and simple I just had to try it! I didn't follow her recipe though, I baked mine according to the directions on the can (15-18 minutes in the oven at 350 degrees).

Basically, you just stuff the biscuit into a muffin tin, push in some fillings and cheese (or whatever you want), and bake it! Easy peesy. They were really yummy and really fast. They didn't quite fit into the bento box, so I cut off the bottom and made them into mini muffin tops! Then I spread the bottoms (which were just plain biscuit) with cream cheese and layered fresh strawberries on them. Threw in some veggies with ranch dressing (dressing is in the cute panda container), two little cheddar flowers, and this bento is set to go!

REVIEW: The strawberries on cream cheese with the biscuit bottoms were not well received, so we won't be trying that again! The ham and cheese was delicious, of course, but too filling. Only a few veggies got eaten. So next time, less carbs, more fiber.
